Content creation might seem easy for people to see, but a lot goes on in the background that needs to be sorted out to be post consistent, engaging content.
Setting a tone
It is necessary to be clear about what your feed is going to be about. You don’t have to stick to the same idea or concept, but there should be an element that connects all your content.
Planning takes you 2 steps forward every.single.time. Period. If you don’t have a plan, you are killing yourself. Moment marketing has its perks; the latest trends can keep you on the top of your game, but a flexible plan ensures that something works for you when nothing does.
Find your audience
You can create the best content in the history of content, but in the hands of the wrong audience, it’s like drawing a line in the water.
Find your niche or community who would support you and promote your content, organically or otherwise. You can do this with the help of hashtags or by connecting with similar content creators and pages as yours.
Track your performance
Instagram has made it very easy for content creators to track their performance with analytics tools.
Content creation is not about just posting random stuff. You have to analyze what works for you and what doesn’t. What gets you traction and, especially what brings people back?
This one is a given. If you are going on a whim and then forget your password for a couple of weeks, then come back and repeat the cycle… Don’t ask why it’s not working for you.
Posting regularly doesn’t imply posting every day. Create a cycle for yourself and stick to that; this could be every day, alternate days, every third day or 5 days a week. But remember there are many creators out there, so if you keep too much gap between your regular postings, the fishes might take someone else’s bait.
The 411 on posting consistent, engaging content
Create good content, plan and post regularly, find your tone, record your performance, create a community and most importantly, HAVE FUN. And oh don’t make these Instagram mistakes!
